A Downtown Expansion for Kutak Rock
Kutak Rock LLP is relocating its Minneapolis operations to the 41st floor of the Wells Fargo Center at 90 S. 7th Street. The national law firm has signed an 11-year lease for an 18,764-square-foot office, effective April 2027.
Growth Spurred by Staffing Gains
Since establishing its Minneapolis footprint in 2011 with just three attorneys, the firm has grown to house more than 30 attorneys and 12 staff members. These teams specialize in real estate, public finance, corporate law, employment, energy, and healthcare.
Margot Wickman, managing partner of the Minneapolis office, says the relocation proves the firm is growing. “Relocating to Wells Fargo Center reflects the strength of our Minneapolis office and our confidence in its future,” Wickman said. “We wanted to remain in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, and this move allows us to do that while significantly expanding our office space.”
Staying in the Business Corridor
By moving directly across the street from its current address, the firm maintains its position in the central business corridor. The new office ensures continued access to the city’s skyway system, as well as downtown dining and entertainment options.

The firm secured the lease in partnership with Cushman & Wakefield. Once moved, employees will gain access to The Reserve, a full-floor tenant amenity space featuring lounge zones, a boutique café, a micromart, and designated areas for focus and collaboration.
A National Firm with Local Focus
Kutak Rock’s local practice centers on government, institutional, and business clients. Its work includes significant experience in municipal bonds, tax-exempt financing, affordable housing, and infrastructure litigation.
This Minneapolis office is part of a broader national platform. The firm currently operates 21 offices across 15 states and the District of Columbia, employing more than 620 attorneys.
