South Carolina Extends Win Streak
No. 23 South Carolina secured its fourth straight victory on Saturday, outlasting Texas A&M 17-9 in Columbia, South Carolina, according to a report from the Associated Press.
Malik Orsan delivered a 43-yard field goal midway through the final quarter, pushing the Gamecocks ahead for good at 10-9. LaNorris Sellers then sealed the contest with a 41-yard touchdown run in the final two minutes, running down the field despite playing on an injured ankle.
Sellers Leads Offense Behind Ground and Air Attack
Sellers finished the game completing 20 of 31 passes for 251 yards and a touchdown, adding to his late-game heroics on the ground. Teammate Isaiah Augustave contributed 50 rushing yards on 10 carries, while receiver Nyck Harbor pulled in four catches for 70 yards.
The Gamecocks’ defense faced a heavy workload as Texas A&M controlled the ball for nearly 10 more minutes of game time and accumulated more total yards. Fred Johnson anchored the defensive effort for South Carolina, recording a game-high 11 tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss.

Missed Opportunities Prove Costly for Texas a&M
The Aggies’ offensive production featured a season-high 137 rushing yards from Rueben Owens II. However, the visitors failed to capitalize on extended possessions, highlighted by a missed field goal from David Olano early in the third quarter that would have given Texas A&M a 12-7 lead. The miss marked Olano’s first failure of the season following 16 makes.
Texas A&M mounted one final drive, reaching the South Carolina 3-yard line before running out of time. Reed launched a desperation pass that sailed over his receiver’s head to end things.
