Lincoln Stars Acquire Defenseman Colin Feeley from Muskegon Lumberjacks

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Lincoln Stars‘ blue line just got a lot more interesting. General Manager Nick Fabrizio announced Wednesday that the Stars have acquired 2008-born defenseman Colin Feeley, along with a Phase I eighth-round pick in the 2027 USHL draft, from the Muskegon Lumberjacks. In exchange, Muskegon receives forward Landon Jackman and a 2027 Phase I fifth-round selection. The trade remains subject to conditions, leaving room for the details to shift before it is finalized.

The 18-year-old defenseman arrives in Lincoln after appearing in 10 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks this season, but his résumé stretches well beyond the USHL. Before his time in Muskegon, Feeley spent time in the CHL, appearing in 55 games for the Oshawa Generals. The Wyckoff, New Jersey native was listed as the 202nd-ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings in 2026 — a ranking that places him on the radar of NHL front offices even at this early stage of his development.

A Defenseman With NHL Scouting Pedigree

Spending 55 games in the CHL with Oshawa gave him exposure to a high-level development environment, while his brief stint in Muskegon offered a first taste of the USHL’s pace. Now, under Fabrizio’s direction, he joins a Lincoln organization that has won four Anderson Cups and two Clark Cups since its establishment in 1996 — championships that speak to a culture of winning and player development.

The USHL itself sits at the top of the American junior hockey pyramid. As the nation’s premier junior league, it serves as a leading development path to NCAA Division I hockey and, ultimately, the NHL. For a player like Feeley, ranked 202nd among North American skaters, landing in Lincoln means joining the USHL, a leading development path to the NHL.

What the Stars Gave Up

The Stars parted with forward Landon Jackman and a fifth-round pick in the 2027 Phase I draft to land Feeley and an eighth-round selection. On paper, that is a defenseman with CHL experience and an NHL Central Scouting ranking.

Jackman, meanwhile, heads to Muskegon as part of the trade. The trade is subject to conditions, with Lincoln acquiring defenseman Colin Feeley and a draft pick while Muskegon receives forward Landon Jackman.
