NCBW-RMAC November Chapter Meeting and Community Food Drive

NCBW-RMAC Turns November 21 Meeting Into Food Drive, Aiming to Fill Three Boxes for Feed More, Chesterfield and Henrico Pantries

For families across the Richmond metro area who rely on food banks, the holiday season can stretch a grocery budget to its breaking point. On November 21st, the Richmond Metropolitan Area Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW-RMAC) is asking its members to do something about that. The chapter is turning its November meeting into a food drive with a concrete goal: fill three boxes of non-perishable food, one for each of three community partners — Feed More Central Virginia, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center, and the Henrico Community Food Bank.

The meeting will be held at the Northern Henrico Civic Association, 319 N. Wilkinson Rd, Richmond, Virginia. Every attendee is asked to bring cans, boxes, bags, and jars. The chapter’s message is direct: “Every can, box, bag, and jar can make a difference.”

One Box Each for Feed More Central Virginia, Chesterfield and Henrico

Rather than collecting for a single pantry, NCBW-RMAC is splitting its goal across three organizations serving different corners of the region. Feed More Central Virginia operates across central Virginia, while the Chesterfield and Henrico food banks serve those two counties directly. Donations collected at a single meeting in northern Henrico will be distributed to families in multiple jurisdictions.

That spread matters.

“Sisters, Let’s Fill the Boxes! As we enter the season of giving, NCBW-RMAC is hosting a Food Drive to support families in our community.” — NCBW-RMAC chapter meeting announcement

319 N. Wilkinson Rd: No Purchase Required, No Minimum Donation

The practical details are straightforward. Bring non-perishable food items to the chapter meeting on November 21st at the Northern Henrico Civic Association’s Wilkinson Road location. There is no purchase required and no minimum — the chapter is asking every sister who attends to contribute what she can.

The event listing frames the ask as part of a continuing commitment: “Thank you, Sisters, for continuing to show up to serve our community,” the chapter wrote, closing with “Together, we can make a difference.”
