The jury returned a guilty verdict against Roulhac on two counts of first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, third-degree possession of a firearm weapon without a serial number, and fourth-degree possession of hollow nose bullets and a large-capacity magazine. According to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II, the victims, Comfort Kollie, 41, and her brother, Moses Kromah, 39, were in Kollie’s Toyota RAV4 when Roulhac, operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck, abruptly crossed their path. Authorities reported that Roulhac came up to the driver’s side with a handgun pointed at the siblings and asked for Kromah’s jacket. Upon Kromah giving the jacket to her, Roulhac discharged two shots, hitting him in the neck and his sister in the chest.

Prosecutors stated that Roulhac escaped but later came back to the 400 block of South 17th Street, where she unintentionally shot herself in the groin with the same handgun. All three were taken to University Hospital for medical care. Investigators subsequently found the firearm under the porch of a nearby house.
