No. 23 Tigers Travel to Fayetteville for Halloween Night Battle Line Rivalry Against Arkansas
The 23rd-ranked Mizzou football team travels to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium tonight to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Battle Line Rivalry, with kickoff scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Tigers enter the matchup at 5-2 overall and 2-2 in Southeastern Conference play, looking to rebound from a 31-3 setback at No. 9 Ole Miss on October 17. Meanwhile, Arkansas hosts the contest holding a 3-4 overall record and a 1-3 mark in conference action.
Tonight’s matchup marks the first time Missouri has ever played a night game on Halloween. The Tigers have won two of their last three Halloween matchups, picking up wins at Texas Tech in 1998 and at Colorado in 2009, and lost at Florida in 2020.
Healthier Roster and Injury Report Updates
The bye week following the trip to Ole Miss provided Mizzou time to heal after listing 24 players on its initial SEC availability report ahead of its last game. The list is now down to just three players ruled out for tonight: running back Malae Fonoti (out for season), offensive lineman Josh Atkins (out for season), and tight end Gavin Hoffman (hand surgery). Most notably, running back Ahmad Hardy returned to practice as a full participant on Monday and is expected to make his season debut in a limited capacity after recovering from a gunshot wound sustained in May.
Arkansas also enters the contest coming off its own bye week, which followed a 31-21 victory at Vanderbilt on October 17. That win snapped a 14-game losing streak in SEC play for the Razorbacks and marked their first conference victory under head coach Ryan Silverfield, who took over the program after compiling a 50-25 record at Memphis.
Coaching Tenures and Program Standings
Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz enters his seventh season in Columbia with a 51-31 record, sitting fourth on the program’s all-time wins list. Drinkwitz has guided the Tigers to bowl eligibility in each of his first six seasons. Across the sideline, Silverfield leads the Razorbacks in his first season in Fayetteville following a tenure at Memphis that featured 10+ win seasons in 2023 and 2024.

Missouri checks in at No. 23 in the AP Poll, anchored by statistical standouts such as running back Jamal Roberts—who leads the FBS with 713 PFF-charted rushing yards after contact—and wide receiver Cayden Lee, whose 90.0 PFF receiving grade leads the SEC. Arkansas counters with junior quarterback KJ Jackson, who has thrown for 1,444 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 61 percent of his passes.
