Lincoln City Council to Meet November 9th, Cancel November 23rd Session
The Lincoln City Council will convene on November 9th at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers, a key opportunity for public engagement on local governance. The regular session on the 23rd, however, has been cancelled. Both meetings are held at 801 SW Hwy 101, 3rd Floor, a space confirmed to be accessible to persons with disabilities.
YouTube Becomes Primary Platform for Public Access
As of September 14, 2026, the City of Lincoln City officially moved to YouTube as its primary streaming platform, discontinuing its previous broadcast on channel 4. All regular and special council meetings are now streamed live on the official City of Lincoln City Oregon YouTube channel.

Public comment is a cornerstone of this process. Residents can submit their thoughts to the city before noon on the day of the meeting. Comments at regular meetings are welcomed, but work sessions, executive sessions, and special meetings typically do not allow for public input. Public comment is a chance to provide information or perspective, not a forum for an immediate response from the council. For direct follow-up, the city directs residents to contact Kevin Mattias in the Public Information Office at 541-996-1221.
Requesting Special Accommodations
The city is committed to ensuring all residents can participate. The Council Chambers are accessible, and the city urges anyone needing special accommodations to request them at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. This includes requests for an interpreter for the hearing impaired, hearing-assist devices, or other disability-related accommodations. To request information in an alternate format or other assistance, residents should contact the City’s ADA Coordinator, Kevin Mattias at 541-996-1221 or [email protected].
Executive sessions, which are not televised and closed to the public, handle sensitive matters like litigation or personnel discussions. Work sessions and committee meetings, however, are open to the public for viewing, though they typically feature audio-only recordings posted after the meeting concludes.
“These meetings provide a platform for elected council members to deliberate on key issues, review progress, and establish strategies to address local needs.”
Preparing for a Single Focused Meeting
The cancellation of the November 23rd meeting was announced.
With agendas and agenda packets available online, residents have the power to come prepared. The items on the docket will reveal the pressing issues facing the city, from infrastructure projects to budget allocations. The cancellation of the later meeting doesn’t diminish the importance of the one that is happening; it simply focuses the attention of the public and the council on a single, crucial evening in November. The City of Lincoln City did not comment on the reason for the cancellation.
