A second woman has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into a series of thefts targeting intoxicated men in downtown Nashville. Metro Nashville Police Department officials confirmed that 38-year-old Davisha Traylor, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was taken into custody in Florida. This arrest follows the apprehension of 36-year-old Lorraine Luckett, also of Wisconsin, who was arrested in Milwaukee earlier this week on 10 outstanding Nashville warrants, according to WSMV.
The Broadway Connection and Long-Distance Warrants
The case involving Traylor stems from a 2024 incident where she allegedly met a man at a bar on Broadway, Nashville’s primary entertainment district. According to reports from WSMV and WKRN, the victim accompanied Traylor back to his hotel room, only to wake up the next morning to find his mobile phone and credit cards missing. Investigators allege that the stolen cards were subsequently used at a Walmart on Nolensville Pike and at the Nashville International Airport.
The Metro Nashville Police Department noted that Traylor’s criminal history spans several states, with active warrants in Florida and Arizona. While she is currently being held in Florida, local authorities have stated that she will eventually be extradited to Tennessee. The logistical timeline for this process is extended; she is expected to be returned to Nashville in early 2027 after addressing her pending legal matters in Florida and Arizona.
Patterns in Downtown Crime of Opportunity
The arrest of Traylor is part of a broader, persistent effort by Nashville law enforcement to address a specific criminal pattern. Police have publicly characterized these incidents as “crimes of opportunity,” where perpetrators intentionally target individuals who appear intoxicated in high-traffic nightlife areas. The frequency of these reports has prompted several ongoing investigations by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The Legal Path Toward 2027
Because both Traylor and Luckett were apprehended outside of Tennessee, the legal process involves coordinating with multiple jurisdictions. While Luckett faces 10 outstanding warrants in Nashville for charges including identity theft, credit card fraud, and theft of property, Traylor faces five outstanding warrants related to similar theft offenses.

The delay in bringing Davisha Traylor to court in Nashville, with her return not expected until early 2027 following her appearances in Florida and Arizona, highlights the complex process of interstate judicial proceedings. As the Metro Nashville Police Department continues its investigations, the department has offered little in the way of further public information, maintaining that the cases are active and ongoing.
