Fresh Leadership Slated for January 2027
Stonewall Columbus is preparing for a structural change as its current board officers conclude their service. The outgoing leadership team features President K Terry-Smith, Vice President Dr. Terrence Brooks, Treasurer JZ Knox-Zhang, and Community Engagement Liaison Ronald Murray. Their leadership has helped strengthen Stonewall and prepare the organization for the years ahead.
Beginning in January 2027, the Board of Trustees will transition to a newly appointed slate of officers. Allison Harrison will assume the role of President. She will be joined by Scott Ammarell as Treasurer, Kris Jackson as Secretary, and Tyson Crenshaw as Community Engagement Liaison. Meanwhile, Marshall Troxell, who currently serves as Secretary, will transition into the role of Vice President.
Fundraising Momentum and Community Support
The leadership handoff follows a successful season of fundraising and civic events for the organization. Last month, the organization hosted its “Come Out for Stonewall: A Brighter Tomorrow” event. The gathering served as an annual fundraiser to support LGBTQ+ people across Central Ohio.

Stonewall Columbus credited donors, volunteers, community partners, staff, and community members for making the gathering a success. Financial support from the event makes it possible to celebrate the community, honor progress, and invest in the work ahead.
Beyond the Ballot Box in Central Ohio
Civic participation in the region shapes the kind of community people want to call home. Stonewall Columbus reported that its ongoing community engagement relies on listening to diverse perspectives and translating shared concerns into action. This commitment was highlighted during recent events and civic participation.
The organization emphasized that civic responsibility persists long after ballots are counted. Engaging with elected officials and staying informed remain essential components of protecting community rights and freedoms and advancing equality.
Recognizing Veterans and Looking Ahead
Concurrently, the recent observance of Veterans Day provided an opportunity to recognize the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families. This included honoring those within the LGBTQ+ community, reinforcing the need to ensure accessible support, respect, and belonging for all service members.
As the organization prepares for its upcoming leadership transition, Stonewall Columbus invited community members to participate in programs, volunteer, or share ideas.
