Three Los Angeles restaurants have been named to OpenTable’s Top 100 list for 2026, which was released on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The list, compiled by the online reservation platform, includes 19 restaurants from California, the largest share from any state. The data was gathered from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026, and is based on over 11 million diner reviews.

The Los Angeles Honorees

The three Los Angeles restaurants honored on the list are:

  • Dunsmoor, located at 3501 N Eagle Rock Blvd. The long tables adorned with flickering candles make the restaurant an ideal place for a date, as do fiery dishes like wood-roasted oysters and mushroom-crusted pork chops, OpenTable editors wrote. Chef Brian Dunsmoor’s wood-fire restaurant, which opened in 2022, focuses on American cooking traditions by preparing dishes over an open flame and crafting a menu inspired by flavors from all around the nation.
  • Providence, located at 5955 Melrose Ave. One of only two LA restaurants to earn prestigious three-MICHELIN-Starred status, Providence is what seafood dreams are made of, OpenTable editors wrote. Chef Michael Cimarusti’s seafood-focused restaurant on Melrose Avenue has emerged as one of the city’s most celebrated fine-dining establishments, distinguished by its intricate tasting menu and ingredients sourced directly from the ocean.
  • Musso & Frank Grill, located at 6667 Hollywood Blvd. The menu keeps tradition alive with signature steaks and chops, alongside historic menu gems like Charlie Chaplin’s favorite lamb kidneys with bacon and the pan-seared grenadine of beef, OpenTable editors wrote. For Musso & Frank Grill, the recognition provides another accolade for one of Hollywood’s most historic dining establishments. Having been open since 1919, the red-jacketed waiters, red leather booths and old-school menu have contributed to making the Hollywood Boulevard staple a popular choice for locals, tourists and the occasional high-wattage celeb.

How the List is Compiled

For the 2026 selection, the company analyzed more than 11 million reviews from verified diners. To be eligible, restaurants needed to fulfill a minimum review threshold and maintain a positive standing with the platform. Various factors were given importance, such as overall diner ratings, the share of five-star reviews, the frequency with which customers searched for the restaurant, the quantity of alerts created for available tables, how far ahead reservations were secured, and the percentage of seating capacity that was booked. These figures were combined into an overall score to determine the final 100.

Other California Honorees

Beyond the three Los Angeles restaurants, other California spots on the list include Bar Cecil in Palm Springs, Boulevard in San Francisco, Californios in San Francisco, Callie Restaurant in San Diego, Cesarina in San Diego, Chicano Nuevo in San Francisco, Cowboy Star in San Diego, House of Prime Rib in San Francisco, Kokkari Estiatorio in San Francisco, LEILA in San Diego, Lilo in Carlsbad, Naisho Omakase in Costa Mesa, Rich Table in San Francisco, Saison in San Francisco, Strong Water in Anaheim, and The Progress in San Francisco.
