Twenty Years Behind Bars for Virginia Beach Offender

Timothy Ian Juda, a 48-year-old formerly residing on Coventry Road in Virginia Beach, was sentenced to 20 years to serve in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges involving child sexual abuse material, the City of Virginia Beach reported.

Circuit Court Judge Jonathan Stone handed down a total sentence of 70 years with 50 years suspended, leaving Juda with two decades of active incarceration. The charges included one count of possession of child pornography as a first offense, nine counts of possession of child pornography as subsequent offenses, one count of reproduction of child pornography as a first offense, and three counts of reproduction of child pornography as subsequent offenses.

Citizen Vigil Leads Police to Coventry Road Home

The case came to light in January 2026. According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Virginia Beach, Colin D. Stolle, the Virginia Beach Police Department was contacted by a member of a citizen group who reported that Juda had been engaging in online chats with someone he believed to be a minor.

A member of that citizen group confronted Juda directly at his Virginia Beach home. During the confrontation, Juda admitted to possessing child pornography, prompting the arrival of local police to launch a formal investigation.

Forensic Analysis Uncovers Telegram Distribution

Investigators stated that Juda made several incriminating statements to detectives on the scene. Forensics personnel with the police department subsequently seized and analyzed his electronic devices.

The forensic examination uncovered that between November 2025 and January 2026, Juda stored images of Child Sexual Abuse Material on his devices and distributed those files to other users electronically through the messaging platform Telegram.
