Bharti Airtel announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, reporting a consolidated net profit of Rs 8,167 crore.
Financial Performance and Revenue Growth in Q1 FY27
Bharti Airtel Limited registered audited consolidated results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Consolidated revenues reached Rs 58,539 crore, representing an 18.4 per cent increase year-on-year and a 5.7 per cent increase sequentially.
The telecommunications operator’s financial performance exceeded analysts’ consensus expectations, which had projected revenues around Rs 57,310 crore. Consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs 33,599 crore, delivering an EBITDA margin of 57.4 per cent.
India revenues for the quarter accounted for Rs 41,214 crore, reflecting a 9.7 per cent growth year-on-year and a 4.2 per cent increase from the previous quarter.
Subscriber Additions and ARPU Expansion Across Mobile and Homes Segments
During the quarter, Airtel added 14.9 million customers globally, bringing its total customer base to 681 million across 15 countries. In India, the total customer base expanded to around 492 million. The company’s industry-leading Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) increased 5.6 per cent year-on-year to reach Rs 264 during the June quarter, up from Rs 250 in the same period last year.
With no broad-based tariff increases implemented since July 2024, Indian telecom operators have increasingly relied on customer migration toward higher-value mobile plans. Airtel and industry peers have focused on expanding premium offerings to encourage subscribers to adopt higher-value 4G and 5G services.
The smartphone data customer base grew by 21.1 million over the past year, representing a 7.5 per cent year-on-year increase. Airtel also recorded its highest-ever quarterly postpaid customer additions, bringing 1.0 million new users into the segment and reaching a total postpaid base of 30.0 million.
The Homes segment delivered revenue growth of 33.2 per cent year-on-year. Airtel added 473 K customers during the quarter, taking its total Homes customer base to 14.7 million.
Network Expansion and Digital Infrastructure Investments
To support growing data consumption, Airtel expanded its network infrastructure during the quarter by deploying 1,579 towers and 14,540 mobile broadband base stations. Over the preceding year, the operator rolled out 7,631 additional towers and deployed 45,171 kilometers of fiber.

Airtel Business recorded a 12.0 per cent year-on-year revenue increase, driven by steady growth in connectivity solutions and demand for digital services. During the quarter, the company introduced Airtel Secure Workforce, positioned as a fully managed Zero Trust Architecture security platform designed for enterprise clients.
The company’s Digital TV operations generated revenues of Rs 773 crore, maintaining a customer base of 16.0 million, while IPTV services continued to support the company’s convergence strategy.
International Performance and Shareholder Actions
Operations outside India contributed substantially to the quarter’s results.
Ahead of the financial results, NDTV Profit reported that the company’s Board of Directors scheduled a conference call for August 5, 2026, at 12 p.m. to discuss the quarterly operational and financial figures with investors and analysts. While no new interim dividend was proposed alongside the June-quarter earnings, the company previously recommended a final dividend of Rs. 24/- per fully paid-up equity share and Rs. 6/- per partly paid-up equity share for the prior fiscal year.
