More than 600 Wyoming homes and businesses are one vote away from high-speed internet access, with the Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors set to decide Thursday on two contract amendments that would pour $1.6 million in Capital Projects Fund money into broadband buildout across Natrona and Park counties, wyomingbusiness.org reported.
The board will hold a special virtual meeting at noon on Thursday, November 5, 2026, open to the public, where directors will consider a limited agenda and may take action on both amendments. Mountain West Technologies Corporation would see its existing contract grow by $800,000, adding 627 service locations in Natrona County. Tri County Telephone Association, Inc. would also receive an $800,000 increase, adding 40 service locations in Park County.
How the Public Can Weigh in Before the Vote
Anyone hoping to speak must email the board by 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, including their name in the message. Comments will be restricted to the two agenda items, and no other topics will be discussed during the special session.
Attendees can join the meeting through Zoom at us02web.zoom.us/j/295704768 or by phone at 1-669-900-6833 using Meeting ID 295-704-768, pressing # when prompted. Phone participants may have limited ability to interact. The full agenda and supporting materials are posted at wbc.pub/WBC_Board.

What Comes After Thursday’s Decision
If the board approves the amendments, the expanded service locations in Casper’s Natrona County and Park County would move forward under the amended contracts. The board’s next regular meeting is already on the calendar for December 14–15, 2026, also to be held virtually, giving directors their next scheduled opportunity to review broadband progress and other business.
The two amendments together represent a targeted push to close connectivity gaps in both a populous county and a more rural one, with Natrona County receiving the bulk of new service locations while Park County gains a smaller but still significant expansion.
