Rescue After Assault Sends Teen Into Bonfire on Halloween Night

A teenage boy was knocked unconscious and fell into a burning bonfire after an assault in Strabane, Co Tyrone, on Halloween night, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said. Detectives received a report just after 10.35pm that the youth was attending a bonfire in the Bradley Way area of the town when he was punched.

As the teenager lay unconscious inside the perimeter of the fire, a bystander intervened. A woman came to his aid and pulled him to safety before emergency services transported him to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
