Viture Launches Viture Pro 2 Smartglasses Starting at $299

Weighing 63 grams, the new centerpiece device is 16 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the original Pro model, featuring a larger field of view and advanced eye comfort technology.

Design Reductions and Comfort Upgrades in the Viture Pro 2

The device weighs just 63 grams, making it the company’s lightest smartglasses release to date. The new model is 16 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the original Pro version.

To achieve a secure yet relaxed fit during extended use, the manufacturer packed several physical improvements into the chassis. The glasses ship with upgraded temple padding, an expanded range of nosepad adjustments, and an included lens shade as standard equipment.

UltraClarity 3.0 Technology and Custom Diopter Adjustments

Beyond physical dimensions, Viture placed a heavy emphasis on reducing user eye strain through what it calls UltraClarity 3.0 technology. This proprietary suite combines a higher peak brightness reaching up to 1,600 nits with a smoother field curvature design, producing more natural-looking virtual displays.

Visual customization is built directly into the hardware via a pair of built-in diopters with individual adjustments for each eye, ranging from 0 to -5.00D. This optical tuning allows many nearsighted users to operate the Viture Pro 2 comfortably without needing custom prescription insets. Furthermore, by adjusting the gamma curve on the Sony-made micro-OLED displays, the company aims to deliver more accurate and lifelike colors.

Expanded Optics and Technical Specifications

The upgraded optical stack yields a larger 50-degree field of view, expanding upward from the 46-degree field of view found on the previous model. Despite the wider visual footprint, the Viture Pro 2 maintains the same 1920 x 1080 resolution per eye and 120Hz refresh rate established by its predecessor.

Because the Pro 2 relies on traditional birdbath-style optics, it does not match the ultra-sleek profile of alternative devices that use thinner waveguide displays. It also requires a wired USB-C connection to a compatible smartphone or laptop to stream content, keeping its design philosophy distinct from social media-centric hardware like the Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses or upcoming Android XR glasses from Samsung.

The Compact Mobile Dock Mini and Pricing Bundles

To streamline external device connections, Viture introduced the Mobile Dock Mini, priced at $99. Weighing approximately 250 grams, the accessory is 34 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than its predecessor. It integrates a 10,000mAh battery designed to keep both connected source devices and the glasses powered during use.

For gamers, the dock supports Nintendo’s handheld and features a detachable magnetic adapter. This adapter can be removed and used as a standalone hub if users need to connect Nintendo’s handheld hardware to a standard television or monitor.

Both the Viture Pro 2 and the Mobile Dock Mini are available directly from Viture for $299 and $99, respectively. Buyers purchasing both items together receive a $20 discount as part of the company’s fifth anniversary collection, bringing the combined bundle price to $378.
