Kohl Center Hosts Final Preseason Tune-Up
The Wisconsin Badgers face the Oklahoma State Cowboys at the Kohl Center on Tuesday evening for their final preseason exhibition game, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
Early Exhibitions Showcase an 11-Man Rotation
Wisconsin enters the matchup carrying wins over UW-Parkside and UW-Green Bay, where they secured 94-71 and 96-77 victories, respectively. During the opening exhibition, head coach Greg Gard rolled out an 11-man rotation. Nolan Winter paced the team with 15 points and nine rebounds, converting 7 of 9 shots from the floor, while transfer Eian Elmer contributed 14 points alongside double-figure scoring from Owen Foxwell, Will Garlock, and Victory Onuetu.
Second Outing Demands a Second-Half Surge
The second outing proved more competitive early on. Wisconsin held a narrow 43-42 advantage at halftime against UW-Green Bay before pulling away in the second half. Austin Rapp rejoined the lineup after rehabbing an injury, a return that limited freshman Jackson Ball to just four minutes of action. Foxwell engineered the offense with 21 points, six assists, and four steals.
Reserves Deliver Points Off the Bench
Off the bench, Braeden Carrington added 20 points by hitting four three-pointers in 17 minutes of play. Zach Kinziger logged 19 minutes, and Trey Autry played 13 minutes as the Badgers continued to ramp up.
Starting Lineup Set for Regular-Season Opening Onslaught
For tonight’s finale against Oklahoma State, Wisconsin will deploy its established starting lineup featuring Foxwell, Jack Janicki, Elmer, Winter, and Onuetu. Following this final tune-up, the Badgers open their regular-season schedule next Monday against Denver.
