The South Korean technology giant already maintains a broad footprint in the portable audio market through its Galaxy Buds lineup and its ownership of major audio brands like Harman Kardon, AKG, and JBL. Yet, the company has largely skipped the premium over-ear headphone segment for over a decade. Its last notable entry in this category was the Level On, released all the way back in 2015—long before the corporate acquisition of Harman reshaped its audio division.

That apparent gap in the product ecosystem is now drawing fresh attention from code disclosures within Samsung software utilities.

The project came to light after software investigators spotted unannounced hardware references inside the Galaxy Wearable application. Connection status icons within the utility standard show the design profile of wireless, over-ear Bluetooth headphones, though these graphical placeholders do not necessarily reflect the final industrial design.

Software assets point to internal hardware tracked under the codename Galaxy H1. Industry watchers note that while this label serves as an internal project designation, it is unlikely to survive as the retail product name when the hardware eventually hits store shelves.

The development effort appears to remain in its early phases.
