Arkansas Gas Prices Drop 9 Cents as Crude Oil Slides
Drivers across Arkansas are seeing some relief at the pump this week as regular unleaded gasoline prices fell by an average of 9 cents to settle at $3.71 a gallon, KAIT reported. The downward movement comes as global crude oil prices eased back into the high $80s and low $90s per barrel range.
Motorists in Texarkana are facing the highest costs in the state with an average of $3.80 a gallon, according to the AAA Arkansas Weekend Gas Watch. On the other end of the spectrum, Hot Springs offers the cheapest fuel in the state at $3.45 a gallon. In Jonesboro, the average price dropped 10 cents to land at $3.63 a gallon.
Arkansas Ranks Eighth Lowest as National Gas Prices Fall
Nationally, the average price for regular unleaded fell 12 cents this week to $4.10 a gallon. Despite the recent relief, AAA noted that pump prices remain historically high for this time of year. Before 2026, the national average had never crossed the $4-per-gallon threshold during November, and the current average sits more than a dollar higher than it was at this exact time last year.

Nationally, Arkansas has the eighth least expensive gasoline in the country. North Carolina claims the lowest statewide average in the nation at $3.34 a gallon, while California remains the most expensive at $5.83 a gallon, according to AAA data.
Supply and Demand Shifts at the Pump
Recent figures published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration indicate that national gasoline demand ticked upward last week, moving from 8.35 million barrels per day to 8.8 million barrels per day. Meanwhile, total domestic gasoline supplies saw a marginal contraction, slipping from 209.2 million barrels down to 209 million barrels.
