Florida Everblades Face Jacksonville Icemen in 3-Game Series

Florida Everblades Open Jacksonville Road Trip at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena

The Florida Everblades arrived in North Florida to close out their season-long road trip with a three-game set against the Jacksonville Icemen, starting with a 7 p.m. puck drop on Friday, November 6, at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Florida enters the matchup boasting a 5-1-0-0 record, fueled by a defensive foundation that has yielded just nine goals across its first six games. That stifling metric leads the league, sitting three goals better than any other club. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Icemen hold a 3-2-1-1 mark through seven contests, playing through a stretch defined by extra time. Five of Jacksonville’s first seven outings required more than 60 minutes to determine a victor, leaving the Icemen still searching for their first regulation win of the season.

Everblades Dominate Division Matchups While Jacksonville Struggles Offensively

Last season provided plenty of familiarity between these two rivals. The teams squared off 12 times, with the Everblades claiming eight victories en route to a South Division dominance on the way to the Kelly Cup. Jacksonville finished the 2025-26 regular season fifth in the division at 29-32-8-3, missing the final playoff spot by a mere five points behind the Savannah Ghost Pirates.

Early offensive metrics highlight a stark contrast between the cross-state foes. While Florida’s back end suppresses scoring chances with ruthless efficiency, Jacksonville has struggled to generate offense, tallying just 16 goals through seven games to rank second to last in the South Division ahead of only Orlando.

The Everblades look to build on a bounce-back victory secured in the second game of their series against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Concluding this triple header in Jacksonville will send Florida back to Hertz Arena for the next two weeks with matchups against the South Carolina Stingrays, Orlando Solar Bears, and Savannah Ghost Pirates.
