Mechanical Specifications and Platform Architecture

Underpinning the second-generation vehicle is Kia’s Advanced K3 platform, which grants the SUV a larger footprint than its predecessor. The vehicle measures 4,460 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and up to 1,635 mm tall, with a wheelbase spanning 2,690 mm.

Powering the entire range is a Euro 4-compliant Gamma II naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre inline-four petrol engine featuring DOHC and Dual CVVT. The Smartstream engine produces 115 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Power reaches the front wheels through an Intelligent Variable Transmission, which functions as a CVT.

“The all-new Seltos kami kembangkan sebagai SUV yang mampu menjawab kebutuhan pelanggan saat ini. Bukan hanya tampil dengan desain yang berkarakter, tetapi juga menghadirkan peningkatan pada aspek kenyamanan, teknologi, performa, dan keselamatan.”

Welly Nugroho, VP Commercial Kia Sales Indonesia

To refine the daily driving experience, the manufacturer incorporated a Drive Mode Select system featuring Eco, Normal, and Sport settings. Engineering updates also target noise, vibration, and harshness levels to deliver a quieter cabin.

Interior Technology and Active Safety Systems

Inside the cabin, the SUV adopts the brand’s latest interior layout anchored by a Panoramic Dual Display that merges the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment screen. Depending on the trim, physical buttons sit below the middle air vents to manage climate and media functions without requiring constant touchscreen use.

Active safety equipment centers on an Advanced Driver Assistance System suite, which includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping and following assist, and blind-spot collision avoidance. Standard protective gear across all versions includes six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, and electronic parking brake with auto hold.

Executive leadership expressed confidence during the exhibition that the comprehensive upgrades will resonate with local drivers navigating daily urban mobility.

“Hari ini The all-new Seltos resmi dipasarkan di Indonesia. Kami optimistis model ini dapat menjadi pilihan baru bagi pelanggan yang menginginkan SUV yang dikembangkan secara menyeluruh untuk mendukung kebutuhan mobilitas sehari-hari.”
