Pittsburgh Penguins Host Military Appreciation Game Against Boston Bruins

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Boston Bruins at PPG Paints Arena in a Military Appreciation Game. The puck drops at 7:00 PM, with the first 7,500 fans receiving a commemorative Lapel Pin Set, and proceeds from a 50/50 raffle supporting the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation’s partnership with ForgiveCo to help eliminate medical debt for local veterans.

Honoring Military Families at the Game

Doors to PPG Paints Arena will open at 6:00 PM. The game is an annual event to honor active service members, veterans, and their families, with special moments of recognition planned throughout the evening. Fans can visit organizations supporting the military community on the FedEx Level, including the Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Troop Appreciation, Pittsburgh Warriors, Irreverent Warriors, and Veterans Place. Attendees can also pick up a ‘My Hero Is’ cause card at a Foundation concourse table.

Supporting Veterans Through Fundraising

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation is hosting an online auction for autographed jerseys, pucks, and other memorabilia, which began November 5 at 12 PM and runs through November 12. Proceeds from the auction, as well as the sale of mystery signed pucks and warmup pucks behind Section 104 during the game, will benefit Shepherd’s Heart and the Pittsburgh Warriors. To join the online auction, fans can visit pens.givesmart.com or text PENS to 76278.
