Donate to the DREAMS Scholarship to Support Georgia Students

The Dedicating Resources to Educationally Advance More Students (DREAMS) Scholarship is currently accepting donations to provide financial assistance to Georgia residents pursuing degrees at public colleges, universities, and technical schools. By contributing to the program, donors help students who face financial barriers to completing their education and aid in strengthening the state’s workforce.

The scholarship is a need-based program administered through the Georgia Student Finance Commission. Financial support generated from these donations is added to the state’s endowment fund, which is specifically designed to provide aid to students who have unmet financial needs. The program is open to contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations.

Contribute to the Scholarship and Claim Tax Deductions

Those interested in supporting the initiative can make a gift to the DREAMS Scholarship through a one-time donation or a recurring monthly payment. To initiate a contribution, donors must click the “Donate Now” button and select “Today Only” for a single gift or “Monthly” for a recurring schedule. Donors may choose from pre-populated dollar amounts or select “Other” to designate a custom figure. Because the Georgia Student Finance Authority is a tax-exempt instrumentality of the state, these contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors receive an email confirmation and documentation for tax purposes following their transaction.

Commemorative Giving

The donation platform includes an option to designate gifts in honor or in memory of individuals. Donors who choose this path can create a custom e-card to notify the honoree or their family members of the contribution. Any specific inquiries regarding the donation process may be directed to the Georgia Student Finance Commission via their dedicated email address.
