After shooting 50% from the field in the opening period to build a 19-point cushion, the Golden Eagles exploded for 61 points after the break, shooting 64% over the final twenty minutes to pull away completely from the Rustlers.
Cutter Beus provided the offensive catalyst for the second night, pouring in 23 of his game-high 29 points in the second half. Beus connected on five of seven attempts from beyond the three-point arc as the home side steadily widened the margin. CSI maintained sharp ball control throughout the contest, committing just six turnovers while forcing nine from Central Wyoming, which the Golden Eagles translated directly into 20 points.
