Silverfield talks after Arkansas’ loss to #23 Missouri in Battle Line Rivalry

The annual Battle Line Rivalry brings the Missouri Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks together at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for a Halloween night clash broadcast on SEC Network, arkansasrazorbacks.com reported.

Into the Rivalry Matchup

Arkansas returns to action following a 31-21 win at Vanderbilt and a subsequent bye week. Entering Saturday night’s 6:45 p.m. kickoff, Missouri holds a 13-4 advantage in the 18-game all-time series, which includes six prior meetings in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks enter the matchup seeking their first win over the Tigers since Nov. 26, 2021, when they secured a 34-17 victory to cap an 8-4 regular season. This meeting marks the first night game played between the two programs in Arkansas.

Statistical Context and Streaks

arkansasrazorbacks.com noted several statistical milestones surrounding the team. The Arkansas defense intercepted a pair of passes in consecutive games against Tennessee and Vanderbilt, marking the first time the Hogs accomplished that feat against SEC opponents since October and November of 2010.

On the offensive side, quarterback KJ Jackson completed 21-of-31 passes for 251 yards and rushed 11 times for 58 yards and a touchdown against Vanderbilt. He became just the second Arkansas quarterback since 1995 to record 300 or more yards of total offense with at least one rushing score in a regulation SEC win, joining Taylen Green’s 2024 performance against Mississippi State.

Running back Cam Settles added two rushing touchdowns against Vanderbilt, becoming the first Razorback running back with multiple scores on the ground in a single game since Mike Washington Jr. notched two against Ole Miss on September 13, 2025. Additionally, the Razorbacks carry a streak of 65 consecutive games with a scored point—the fifth-longest stretch in program history—alongside a national-best streak of 243 consecutive extra points made dating back to December 5, 2020.
